History
Introduced in 1986 as their flagship sedan model alongside the smaller Integra for the North American market Acura brand, the Legend was in fact brought from Japan where it was sold as the Honda Legend. The luxury and high-end optioned car was intended to compete with the Toyota Cressida and the likes, small german models of the era, and this, well before Toyota lauched the Lexus brand and Nissan launched the Infiniti brand in North America.
