History
Santana had a joint venture with Land Rover and Suzuki for the production of 4x4s in an assembly plant in Linares, Spain.
A consortium formed of Zhengzhou Nissan, the subsidiary of Dongfeng, BAIC Group, and Anhui Coronet Tech acquired the rights to the Santana brand name and re-started the brand as well as the assembly plant in 2025 with SKD kit of the Dongfeng Z9.
