History
Origins
JMCG stands for Jiangling Motors Corporation Group and formely Jiangxi Automotive Maintenance Plant.
It is not to be confused with JMC (Jiangling Motors Corporation Limited), a separate entity but in which JMCG does have participation.
It was originally established in 1947 and its headquarters are located in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. Various vehicle production facilities through shareholdings defines this company which has partnerships with Ford, Isuzu and Changan.
With a complex partnership with Changan, JMCG used to have the JMC (Jiangling Motors Corporation Limited) company as one of its subsidiaries in equal shares, but it is the Aiways company that hold the most shares in JMC now.
Nevertheless, JMCG continue using the JMC badging on some of its vehicles.
Jiangxi Isuzu
JMCG entered a partnership with Isuzu in 1983. Recently, some pickup and SUV models have been produced in China with an Isuzu logo and some with a JIM logo.
