History

Guangtong Auto was a Guangdong province company that later merged to create Zhuhai Guangtong Automobile Co., Ltd. in 1999. Little is known about the cars from Guangtong before this date but there have been numerous reports with conclusive evidence that they have apparently produced various car models for a number of years although the legitimacy of such models are contestable since they were apparently first assembled from CKD kits imported in different shipments to Guangdong and thus is commonly refered as being part of a scheme called CCPDoG™.

The most interesting and obscure facts are that they produced in that way two different Honda car models (possibly more) in the 1990's :

All models resulting of the activities or Guangtong Auto adorned the GTQ prefix.
