History

The headquarters of Effa Motors, a Uruguayan manufacturer of cars and trucks, are located in San José de Mayo, in the country's south. Eduardo Effa established the business in 2006 with the goal of building cars using imported CKD kits. Effa's vehicle identifying numbers start with the World Manufacturer Codes of 9UP, 9UR, and 9US, which belong to the now-defunct manufacturer Dolce Vitta, which is located in the same workshop as Effa. The business is an Aler Group subsidiary.

Chinese automakers Changhe, Hafei, Huanghai (a Liaoning Shuguang brand), JinBei (JinBei trucks referred to as JBC), Jiangling Motors (JMC), Lifan, and Sinotruk are among the companies with which Effa has agreements.
