History

Located in Golpayegan, Iran, Diar Automobile Company is a car manufacturer founded in 2000 with private sector financing to produce car body-pressed parts. The company obtained the Exploitation License for body-pressed products in January 2003 by installing and establishing six units of hydraulic and heavy-stroke presses weighing 500 to 2000 tons.

The firm licenses Changcheng products, better known as Great Wall Motor, of China to manufacture SUVs and pickups. Additionally, Diar produces its own automobiles. The Safir, their flagship vehicle, is named after one of Iran's rockets and is based on the Great Wall Wingle.
