Datsun prior to 1986
Datsun was the name used for export of the Nissan automobiles prior to 1983. The name was phased out in 1984 in North America and up to 1986 other markets.
Relaunch 2013-2022
Recently, in 2013, Nissan has revived the Datsun name to encompass entry-level vehicles sold in emerging markets but has, as of 2022, decided to pull out the brand once again.
