History

Post WWII

The Audi brand comes from the renaming of "August Horch Automobilwerke GmbH" which was the second car company founded by August Horch after having left his 1st company which retained the Horch name because of financial disagreements. Within a meeting with his business friends, Paul and Franz Fikentscher from Zwickau, Franz's son came up with the name Audi in 1910.
